Anna Colin Lebedev

Anna Colin-Lebedev is a PhD in political science, a lecturer in political sociology at the University of Paris-Nanterre and a specialist in post-Soviet societies.

After the publication of a book based on her thesis on the movement of soldiers' mothers in Russia, Le Cœur politique des Mères (Editions de l'EHESS, 2013), it was in 2022 that this French specialist on Russia and Ukraine came to the attention of the general public, thanks to her measured and extremely enlightening interventions on various social media platforms and press outlets. With the amplification of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, the press and the public have found in Anna Colin-Lebedev an expert able to answer the historical, political and social questions that we were all asking ourselves about these two countries, and their past and present links.

She is fluent in French, English, Ukrainian and Russian.

With The Agency, Anna Colin Lebedev published Jamais Frères? Ukraine and Russia: a post-Soviet tragedy, which was released by les Editions du Seuil on September 3, 2022.
